President - Kathie Compton 

Kathie Compton is a dog behavior consultant, owner of mARFa Dog Training and co-owner of Marfa Gliders. Prior, Compton served as Executive Director for a subsidiary of Hoechst Pharmaceutical. She also served as Human Resources Director for a division of Life Care Services Corporation, as Assistant Technical Director for Aerolease International, and as Executive Secretary to the President of Avmark. She served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Aviation Association, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the General Federation of Women's Clubs, Marfa.  Compton is the volunteer Training and Behavior Director for Grand Companions Humane Society and author of the book, "Dogs...Made Easy! A New Owner's Manual." She and her husband Burt live with Yorkshire Terrier Cozy Dog, in Marfa where they were honored with the 2006 Business of the Year Award from the Chamber of Commerce. Vice President/Secretary - Joni Marginot

Joni Marginot is the Executive Director of the Marfa Chamber of Commerce. Before moving to Marfa in 2003, she volunteered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County, Maryland for 11 years.  Joni began her volunteer work by fostering dogs in her home until they were adopted into new families.  She was on the board of directors for the SPCA/HS of Prince George's County and served as Treasurer for 4 years.  In 1996, Joni was named dog adoption coordinator and served in that capacity through 2002.  She supervised dog adoption events at large pet supply stores three weekends per month.  She was an active member of the SPCA/HS team that opened a low cost spay/neuter clinic in Forestville, MD in 2002.  She helped organize and run monthly rabies clinics.  Joni and her certified pet therapy Boxer, Barney, also volunteered with "Pets on Wheels" from 1995-1999 and they made weekly visits to a nursing home in Adelphi, MD.  She lives in Marfa with her husband, two (rescue) boxers and four (rescue) cats.   For information, email secretary@rompmarfa.org

Treasurer - Malinda Beeman

Malinda Beeman has been an educator and arts administrator for over 35 years. She was Area Coordinator of Printmaking at the University of Houston. From 1992 – 1999 she held the position of  Program Director, Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village Colorado, In 1999, Ms. Beeman founded the Marfa Studio of Arts and served as Executive Director until 2009. She has served on the Board of the Lawndale Arts and Performance Center in Houston. In 1988, she was a co-coordinator of the College Art Association National Conference.  She has also served as a panelist for the Texas Commission for the Arts.  For information email treasurer@rompmarfa.org

Director - Beth Davenport

Beth Davenport has worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of settings, including telemetry and women services.  She practiced as an acute care nurse in the hospital for several years.  Beth left the hospital setting to work for a company providing preventive health education regarding diabetes and heart disease.  While in Marfa, she practiced as the District Nurse for Marfa ISD.  Most recently, she has returned to San Antonio to accept a position as Manager of the Community Health Screening Program for Baptist Health System.  Prior to nursing, she worked in banking.  Throughout the years, she has worked as a volunteer for many organizations ( PTA volunteer coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer for a pre-school,  Secretary for her daughter's soccer club and team manager for 5 years, Staff Liason for the Student Health Advisory Council of MISD) and believes strongly in volunteerism.  She loves animals and loves being a part of ROMP.  She lives with three dogs, two cats and a physicist.
